Terms of Use
By creating a profile or using IMPA Matrimony you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
Who may use IMPA Matrimony
- You must be at least 18 years old and legally free to marry under the law that applies to you.
- You must be looking for a marriage partner for yourself, or be a parent, guardian or family member creating a profile with the person's knowledge and consent.
- You may hold one profile. Profiles are for individuals, not agencies or businesses.
Your profile must be true
Everything you enter, including your age, marital status, education, profession, family details, horoscope and photos, must be accurate and about you. Photos must show you. Do not post anyone else's photo, a photo that is misleading, or content that is obscene, hateful or illegal.
Respectful conduct
You agree not to:
- harass, threaten, pressure or insult any member, or send unwanted sexual or abusive messages;
- ask any member for money, gifts, investments or bank details, or promote any product or service;
- pretend to be someone else, or use the service for anything other than finding a marriage partner;
- collect other members' details, copy the service, or use bots or scrapers;
- share another member's contact details, photos or messages without their permission.
Meeting people safely
Profiles are not identity-verified. We review photos and reports, but we cannot check everything a member tells you. Please verify details yourself, involve your family, meet in public places, and never send money to someone you have not met. Report anything suspicious from the profile menu.
Interests, messages and contact details
Sending an interest tells the other member that you are interested. Chat opens only after an interest is accepted, and contact details are shared only then. What you share with another member after that is your own responsibility.
Compatibility information
Porutham results are calculated from the birth stars members enter, using commonly published rules. Traditions differ, so treat them as a starting point and consult your family astrologer. We do not guarantee any match or outcome.
Moderation
We may review, refuse or remove photos and profiles, suspend or delete accounts, and act on reports, if we believe these terms are broken or that members may be at risk. Where we can, we will tell you why. You may also pause or delete your own account at any time.
Fees
Creating a profile is currently free. If paid plans are introduced, their price and features will be shown clearly before you pay, and nothing is charged without your explicit action.
Our responsibility
We provide the service as it is and work hard to keep it running, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for the conduct of members, for information members provide, or for outcomes of relationships that begin through the service. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have that cannot be limited by law.
Changes and governing law
We may update these terms and will tell members before important changes take effect. These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at Kanchipuram will have jurisdiction, subject to any consumer rights you have to bring a case elsewhere.
